I have taken on various leadership roles within the broader academy to serve the wider academic community. 

Service to the Society of Biblical Literature

For the Society of Biblical Literature Annual Meeting, I serve as co-chair of the Pentateuch program unit and a steering committee member of the Biblical Law program unit. 

Editorial Boards and Peer Review 

I am the book review editor of the journal Vetus Testamentum, as well as a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Hebrew Scriptures. I am a regular peer-reviewer of manuscripts submitted to various journals and book series (see the full list in my CV)

Academic Memberships

I serve as an active member of several academic societies, including the European Association of Biblical Studies, the American Society of Overseas Research, and the Society of Biblical Literature

Advisory Roles

From 2021–2024, I served as an external advisor of the Swiss National Science Foundation project “Transforming Memories of Collective Violence in the Hebrew Bible” led by Sonja Ammann of the University of Basel
